How to choose a heated pillow or blanket in Canada

The best place to start is how you like to get comfortable. A heated pillow offers a compact shape to settle beside. A wrap blanket gives you a different fit: something to drape around your shoulders or over your lap. Then compare the power requirements, care instructions and what is actually included.

Heated pillow, cushion or wrap blanket?

Product names can overlap. At GLOED, “heated pillow” and “heated cushion” refer to the same upcoming personal-warmth product. It is not a sleeping pillow or a medical device. A heated wrap blanket is a separate design, intended to wrap or drape around you. Always follow the instructions for the particular product you choose.

Five things to check before buying

  1. Size and heated area. Overall dimensions and the heated area are different measurements. Look for both, along with photographs that show the product in use.
  2. Power and what is included. Confirm whether the price includes a battery, a cable and any required charger. A connector that fits does not prove that a power bank is compatible. Read our power-bank guide.
  3. Heat controls and use instructions. Check the available settings and whether an automatic shutoff is specified. Do not assume every heated product has the same features, or that a higher setting suits every use.
  4. Care and cleaning. Find the instructions for the cover, heated insert and battery separately. “Washable” should explain exactly which part can be washed and how it must be dried.
  5. The full purchase terms. Compare the total in Canadian dollars, delivery options, return conditions and any stated warranty. Read these before placing an order.

What Canadian shoppers should look for

Check that the seller can deliver to your postal code and makes its shipping charges, dispatch timing and return process clear. A Canadian brand does not automatically mean a product is manufactured in Canada. Look for specific origin information when that matters to your decision.

GLOED is an Alberta-based Canadian brand. Our launch is being prepared for Canadian customers; pillow / cushion bundles start at C$129 and wrap blanket bundles at C$149, each including a 10,000mAh power bank. A 20,000mAh power bank upgrade adds C$20. Prices are in Canadian dollars, before taxes and shipping. Shipping options and delivery estimates will be published before orders open. You can review our current shipping information and returns policy.
